Supervision

We believe that learning should be ongoing for all clinicians, no matter how experienced they are.  Supervision on a regular basis is an essential component to promote ongoing learning, so all clinicians, even licensed clinicians and certified behavior analysts, are required to participate in a minimum of one hour of supervision each month.  Additional supervision is provided on an as-needed basis.

  • Supervisor credentials: Our clinical supervisors are  Florida-licensed clinicians (e.g., LMHC, LCSW, LMFT, Psychologist) with extensive experience.   Our ABA supervisor has over 35 years of experience and is dually credentialed as both a BCBA-D and as a Florida-licensed psychologist.

  • Supervisor availability: Supervisors are available for unscheduled consultation in between scheduled supervision sessions, even in the evening and on weekends, and clinicians are encouraged to call for additional supervision when needed.

  • Supervision toward Licensure: Individiual & group supervision (via Zoom) is provided for registered interns (RMHCI, RCSWI, RMFTI) free of charge, based on caseload size.  Clinicians who maintain at least 15 hours per week of direct therapy services are eligible for 4 hours of supervision per month (2 individual, 2 group).  Clinicians who maintain 8-14 direct therapy hours per week are eligible for 2 hours of supervision per month (1 individual, 1 group).  Clinicians who maintain less than 8 direct therapy hours per week are eligible for 1 hour of group supervision per month.

  • Supervision toward ABA Certification:  Individual & group supervision (via Zoom) is provided for BCBA/BCaBA up to 4 hours per month, via Zoom.  On-site modeling/coaching during therapy sessions is required by the BACB but is not available through Adapt, at this time.
