Executive Leadership

Sharon Older, Ph.D., BCBA-D, Executive Director

Sharon has been the leader of Adapt Behavioral Services since its inception in 2007. Prior to Adapt, she worked for several non-profit mental health agencies, a state hospital, and various other treatment agencies. She earned her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from West Virginia University in 1991. She has been a certified Behavior Analyst since 1991 and a Licensed Psychologist since 1992. She has been providing services for a variety of client populations since 1983 and directing treatment programs since 1991. She was the President of the Florida Association for Behavior Analysis from 2015-16 and served on the FABA Board for 7 years.  She currently participates as a member of the FABA Legislative Committee.

Joseph Older, M.B.A., C.F.A., Finance Director

Joe has been with Adapt since 2007.  Prior to Adapt, he had a career in banking as a Trust Investment Officer at Wachovia.  Joe earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Finance in 1983 and his Master’s in Business Administration from West Virginia University in 1984.

Regina Estill, Acting Operations Director

Regina has been with Adapt since 2015 as an Administrative Specialist and was promoted to Acting Operations Director in 2019.   Prior to Adapt, she handled payroll, finance, and operations for a large convenience store chain in Virginia.  She earned her Associates degree in Accounting & Computer Science from National Business College in 2002. 

Sarah Courtney, M.A., BCBA, PHR, Human Resources Director

Sarah has been with Adapt since 2007, first as a Therapist, and as the HR Director since 2010.  Prior to Adapt, she worked for various other agencies as a mental health therapist and as a group home manager.  She earned her Master’s degree in Counseling from West Virginia University in 1998, BCBA in 2013, PHR (Professional in Human Resources) in 2014, and SHRM-CP (Society for Human Resources Management-Certified Professional) in 2015.
